About Safehold Shelters
Who builds it

We pour the same thing our own families sit in.

Safehold started in 2014 in a garage in Moore. A neighbor had spent one too many springs in a bathtub with a mattress over her head and asked whether we could just cut the slab. We could. Word got up and down that street fast.

Every shelter goes in the way we'd want it under our own kids — rebar tied up on chairs, walls and floor poured in one shot with no cold joint, door and anchors bolted straight through into concrete. Then we stand there and make you open it in the dark, because that is when you'll be doing it.

Sheet 06 — StandardsWhy Safehold
Why Safehold

Built for the ten minutes it matters

Every other day of the year it's just a very heavy closet.

01

Bolted through the slab

Anchors go through the concrete, not into a surface plate. On an above-ground room that's the whole ballgame.

02

A door you can open in the dark

Latches you can find by feel — and we make you practice it before we load the trailer.

03

Poured in one shot

Walls and floor tied together, no cold joint sitting there waiting to work against itself.

04

Registered if you want it

We walk you through listing it with the local shelter registry, so responders know there's a door under the debris.

Let us come measure the garage

Send your address and where you're thinking — garage, backyard, shop. We'll measure the slab, check the drop and the utilities, and give you a firm number and an install week.

  • ✓ Free measure, no sales pitch at the kitchen table
  • ✓ Firm price and an install date, not a range
  • ✓ Most garage shelters go in inside one day
